NATIONAL SECURITY
May 11 – 13
Ukraine is a European state that confronts armed aggression by the Russian Federation. Russia remains the primary source of long-term systemic threats to Ukraine's national security, global stability, and international democratic values.
This leads to the necessity of implementing an effective strategy to ensure the cessation of aggression and the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity within its internationally recognized state borders on the basis of international law. That is why Ukraine's National Security Strategy is based on three main principles of the state policy: deterrence, stability, and collaboration.
Thanks to the joint efforts of the President of Ukraine, the Parliament, and the Government of Ukraine, a robust national security system has been formed based on the interconnected components of the security and defense sectors, governmental and non-governmental institutions and organizations, civil society and other actors that function as a single organism and are designed to address the core security and defense challenges.
How the State takes care of security today; how the national security system will transform in a couple of years; what the state of the Ukrainian Army, National Guard of Ukraine, Security Service, National Police, State Border Guard Service is now and how these institutions should change; what has been done in the fields of information security and the development of the defense industry; what reforms Ukraine will introduce and what steps it will take for NATO membership―all these matters will be discussed by state officials, local and international experts, members of the public and the diplomatic corps at the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. State Security” on May 11-13, 2021.
