INFRASTRUCTURE

Infrastructure

The ambulance response time, a trip to relatives, the quality of the Internet―these are infrastructure services. Everyone in the world uses them, and the quality of life of each person depends on the state of infrastructure, especially on its transportation and social components.

Infrastructure is the foundation for economic development. So-called physical infrastructure projects, especially government investments in road construction, positively impact economic growth. A newly built road or a new bridge can significantly reduce travel time and shorten the distance for citizens, carriers, businesses. These improvements will result in reduced transportation costs and faster delivery.

The construction industry appears to be at the forefront of infrastructure development. The advancement in this industry may accelerate economic growth as it contributes a lot to establishing physical infrastructure.

Infrastructure development benefits everyone: businesses, citizens, and the economy as a whole. Companies will be able to reduce production costs; citizens will take advantage of improved infrastructure services, new schools, hospitals, kindergartens; the economy is expected to grow as companies will produce more goods and services while their production expenditures will remain unchanged.

Infrastructure projects are beneficial to everyone, and their mainstreaming is the primary goal of this forum.

The Office of the President, the government, the representatives of the Verkhovna Rada, and the expert community will gather at the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30" Infrastructure" to discuss this matter.
Authorities, experts, and public officials will discuss infrastructure rehabilitation and the ways to build a new one. In particular, on the continuation of the national project "Great Construction," the board will discuss the financing of long-term projects and the role of international partners in this process. They will also explain the decision-making approach to setting funding priorities.
What are the prospects of river transportation, renovation of local airports, modernization of “Ukrzaliznytsia,” and building the infrastructure of the future?
The participants will aim to find the answers to these questions at the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30" Infrastructure," which will be held on February 22-24, 2021, in Kyiv.

Forum objectives:

Present road reconstruction plans under the “Great Construction” and the project itself in 2021;

Demonstrate a high level of international cooperation and partnership with the EU;

Initiate the dialogue with businesses on new logistics opportunities;

Build confidence in governmental actions and provide a better understanding of decision-making logic applied by the government;

Initiate the dialogue with the public on railway and air transportation.
