CHALLENGES AND RESPONSES

Coronavirus: challenges and responses
The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the most prominent global challenges in the 21st century. The global pandemic has triggered unprecedented threats to human life and health, while forging world economies to act quickly in response to economic fallouts. The new way we must adapt to live and communicate in, demands from us a new model of relaying information and including mainstream dialogue.
Along with the background of these changes, a lot of difficult questions have arisen in states and countries. The topics and forms of discussion of each country need to be accessible in the dominant discourse. Ukraine is no exception. The main purpose of the forum is to give Ukrainian society the platform to discuss these questions. The fight against the virus is a matter of national security for Ukraine, and therefore this is the focus of the Ukrainian Government for 2021. We want to have open communication accessible.
In order to discuss and answer these questions, the Office of the President, the Government, and representatives of Parliament will unite their efforts with international experts, and government representatives from leading countries, as well as the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and USAID.

Objectives of the Forum:
Conduct an inclusive dialogue between the government and society on combating the pandemic;
Demonstrate the level of authorities' readiness to overcome the pandemic;
Identify the vaccination strategy and action plan as the Government's main priority for 2021;
Demonstrate the high level of international cooperation, as well as a partnership with the EU in terms of the fight against COVID-19;
Foster behavioral change regarding the vaccination as the main way to return to normal life and to accelerate economic recovery;
Ensure greater access of Ukrainians on the information of the vaccine, as well as to counteract misinformation and fake news.
